Help at Home
Minnesota offers programs that can help you in your home. Services can include Personal Care Assistants (PCA), Home Health Aid (HHA), chores, yard work, homemaker services (cooking, cleaning, laundry, running errands) and many more. Some services may be free if you qualify for a waiver, others may require you to pay out of pocket. See the options below.
Waivered Services
Waivered Services work with Medical Assistance to provide services to you in your home. Services can include Personal Care Assistants (PCA), Home Health Aid (HHA), chores, yard work, homemaker services (cooking, cleaning, laundry, running errands), transportation, a case manager, and many more.

You will need a MnChoices Assessment to see if you qualify for a waiver. A MnChoices Assessment is free through your county. The MnChoices Assessment allows you to sit down with a social worker to see how much help you may need. You can request a MnChoices Assessment through your county.
